Cahors, its Pont Valentré, its cathedral and its picturesque streets, cruises on the Lot are another way to visit the town situated in a meander of the river.
To the east, visit Saint Cirq Lapopie, elected favourite village of the French and classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France. At the foot of the village is the "chemin de hallage" dug into the cliffside along the river, a must-see hike.
Make a stop in Cabreret and visit the cave of Pech Merle and the Célé valley with its prehistoric paintings.
To the west, visit the many wineries that border the valley as far as Puy l'Evéque and Prayssac, a beautiful little town on the river bank. And continuing on to Sarlat and the Dordogne valley (Domme, Beynat...).
